Meet Our Team

Our board has a broad range of experience and expertise in various fields. We come together for the common goal of serving children in our community.

  • Daniel Lisztwan

    Daniel Lisztwan

    School Coordinator (Warford Elementary)

Daniel is the Worship Director with Minding the Gap. He has faithfully served his church on their pastoral staff as a Youth Worship Pastor since August of 2016. Originating from Canada, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  Attaining to Professional Engineer in 2010 after four years of work as a Junior Mechanical Engineer in the oil & gas industry, Daniel appreciates the benefit of goal-oriented education. Seeing the importance of both the technical and spiritual development of children, his passion is to see children equipped in all areas of education and thus given the greatest opportunity. In his recreational time Daniel loves to sing, make music, and play tennis and soccer.

Rebecca is a homeschooling mom of four. She earned a degree in Secondary English Education and for five years coached individuals in life skills and communication through Faithwalking, a Texas based nonprofit. She is passionate about reaching the next generation for Christ and supporting family systems. Before working with Minding the Gap, she volunteered with a crisis pregnancy center; now she hopes to adopt or foster in the future. Rebecca and her husband Tim are full-time missionaries living in Kansas City with their children. For fun, she enjoys meeting one-on-one with other moms, eating cultural foods, and playing card games.

  • Tim Duitsman

    Tim Duitsman

Tim worked as an electrician for seven years before moving to Kansas City to serve the INTRO to IHOPKC internship as a full-time missionary. Before that, Tim served with Pure Desire Ministries for five years leading men's addiction recovery groups. He is passionate to see believers awaken to wholehearted love for Jesus and to see the next generation raised on a solid foundation. Tim lives with his wife Rebecca and four kids and enjoys reading, writing music, and any outdoor activity.

Our Partners

Testimonial Icon

As Principal of Warford Elementary, I have confidence that Minding the Gap staff will respond to their call by creating love and trust for students in the community. I have seen this firsthand with many of their members working with students at my school through the Caring for Kids partnership. Pastor Zack has been a champion for Warford Elementary. He orchestrates great plans to garner volunteers to support my school with amazing follow through. They give families resources. but most importantly, give students the time and attention needed to succeed in school through mentorship. His passion for working with staff and students right in his community is to be honored. Our school is blessed that we have a partner who is a champion for children.
